BECKETT STAGE
An English Professor at Claremont College commissioned the design of a portable stage to perform plays by avant-garde playwright Samuel Beckett. A foldable metal frame surfaced with translucent screens and integral backlighting was designed to create an atmosphere of "ambiguous drama" in accordance with Beckett's post-WWII middle-period, defined by introspection and subjectivity.
